PCC

PostPre Comment Clarity

PCC is a keyboard that warns you before you send something you might regret. To a friend, to someone you love, on social media, anywhere you type.

PCC Keyboard in use: someone types "I hate you" and a Toxicity warning with a gauge appears above the keys, saying the message may come off as toxic to some readers

Why PCC

Everyone has sent one.

The “you up?” text at 1 a.m. The reply typed when you were angry. The comment that sounded fine in your head. Once it's sent, it's out there, and screenshots last forever. PCC gives you one second look before you say something stupid.

To a friend · 1:12 AMlol nobody asked you
To your partner · 6:40 PMFine. Do whatever you want, you always do.
Public commentThis is the dumbest take I've ever read.
The PCC Keyboard app, showing the Normal and Minimal warning styles, a Toxicity warning with a gauge, and three setup steps

The app

A second look, right where you type.

  • Works in any app

PCC is a keyboard, so it's there in your texts, DMs, comments and emails. No copying and pasting into something else.

  • Warns you before you send

If a message may come off as toxic, PCC tells you while you can still change it.

  • Pick your warning style

Normal shows the full warning. Minimal keeps it out of your way.

Set up in three steps

  1. Open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards
  2. Tap Add New Keyboard → PCC Keyboard
  3. In any app, hold the globe key and choose PCC Keyboard
